OnSite Waste Management is the sales and marketing arm of Parkham Industrial Distributors, Inc. which was founded in Louisville, Kentucky in 1984. President/Owner Dan Parker, established Parkham to sell, install and service waste oil furnace equipment to the transportation industry. As an auto mechanic and repair shop owner, he realized the value of the waste oil furnace as a cost and liability reducer. Having personally experienced these benefits, he made the decision to share them with the transportation industry. Over the next 8 years Mr. Parker committed his time to learning the wants and needs of the industry particularly in the area of OSHA and EPA compliance while reducing shop wastes profitably. In 1992 Mr. Parker and friend
Denis Wandtke (Owner of Black Gold Environmental) developed the OnSite
Waste Management concept of the "Waste Minimization Program" which is
a "holistic" approach to waste minimization. Waste Minimization is a
formal term for a process by which businesses take specific steps to
better manage the waste products generated by their company. Recycling
is part of the program, but it extends well beyond that familiar concept
to cover a facility-wide management program. The greatest benefit is that the business accomplishes all of the above with no "new money" but by simply redirecting and reducing money they are already spending. |
